Vocabulary is an important part of English that helps you deal with all kinds of questions in objective as well as descriptive papers of various exams. In the recently concluded Banking Exams, we witnessed that a major part of the exam was based on vocabulary. Many questions were vocab based and we can expect the same in the upcoming exams. 1. DIVISIVE : विभाजनात्मक
Meaning: used to describe something that causes great and sometimes unfriendly disagreement within a group of people
Synonyms: disruptive, discordant
Antonyms: accordance, uniting
Example: The Vietnam war was an extremely divisive issue in the US.


2. BEDRAGGLE : गंदा करना
Meaning: wet, dirty, and untidy
Synonyms: dishevel, crumple
Antonyms: straighten, flatten
Example: The lieutenant mopped his face on a bedraggled handkerchief.


3. ENERVATED : कमज़ोर करना
Meaning: to make someone feel weak and without energy
Synonyms: fatigued, enfeebled
Antonyms: active, refreshed
Example: The shock of the king’s death had enervated the royalist cause.


4. SLEAZY : तुच्छ
Meaning: dirty, cheap, or not socially acceptable, especially relating to moral or sexual matters
Synonyms: trashy, sordid
Antonyms: good, nice
Example: This part of town is full of sleazy bars and restaurants.


5. FRAILTY : दोष
Meaning: moral weakness
Synonyms: defect, failing
Antonyms: advantage, perfection
Example: Tolerant of human frailty in whatever form, she almost never judged people.


6. DEPRIVE : वंचित करना
Meaning: to take something, especially something necessary or pleasant, away from someone
Synonyms: withhold, take
Antonyms: bestow, give
Example: You can’t function properly when you’re deprived of sleep.


7. REPINE : विलाप करना
Meaning: to feel sad or complain about something, especially a bad situation
Synonyms: moan, mourn
Antonyms: hate, dislike
Example: She was alone and unloved, but she did not repine.


8. SECLUSION : तनहाई
Meaning: the state of being alone, away from other people
Synonyms: remoteness, aloneness
Antonyms: open, public
Example: In some societies women are kept in seclusion, so that they are hardly ever seen in public.


9. BEGGARLY :  बहुत कम और सस्ता
Meaning: small in amount and not at all generous
Synonyms: abject, broke
Antonyms: rich, wealthy
Example: The council voted to give the new project a beggarly amount of money.


10. INVIGORATE : सबल बनाना
Meaning: to make someone feel fresher, healthier, and more energetic
Synonyms: energize, rejuvenate
Antonyms: bore, dull
Example: His overarching argument, forcefully and uncompromisingly presented, is original, challenging, invigorating.
