1.TINGE (verb) रंग देना
Meaning: color slightly.
Synonyms: dye, stain, shade, suffuse.
Antonyms: decolorize, whiten, blanch, bleach.
Usage: The sky had become a dark shade of indigo, tinged with the remnants of deep magenta.


2. CONTENTIOUS (adjective) विवादास्पद
Meaning: causing or likely to cause an argument; controversial.
Synonyms: disputable, debatable, moot, vexed.
Antonyms: agreeable, nonbelligerent, pacific, peaceful.
Usage: This last piece of evidence is particularly contentious and likely to feature prominently in the appeal.


3.  ABIDING (adjective) स्थायी
Meaning: (of a feeling or memory) lasting a long time; enduring.
Synonyms: persisting, long-lasting, everlasting, perpetual.
Antonyms: short-lived, ephemeral, transitory, transient.
Usage: The abiding interest in Korner is patriotic and political rather than literary.


4. IMPLICITLY (adverb) अप्रत्यक्ष
Meaning:  in a way that is not directly expressed; tacitly.
Synonyms: absolutely, totally, utterly, unconditionally.
Antonyms: bluntly, explicitly, openly, clearly.
Usage: She implicitly suggested that he was responsible for the error.


5. STRIVE (verb) उद्यम करना
Meaning: make great efforts to achieve or obtain something.
Synonyms: labour, toil, strain, struggle
Antonyms: quit, dally, laze, fribble
Usage: Any community that meets resistance always strives harder to prove its worth and value to society.


6. MAR (verb) बिगाड़ना
Meaning: impair the quality or appearance of.
Synonyms: ruin, spoil, damage, wreck
Antonyms: improve, enhance, uplift, elevate.
Usage: A bitter expression crossed his features, causing angry wrinkles to mar his face.


7. RECRIMINATION (noun) आरोप
Meaning: an accusation in response to one from someone else.
Synonyms: retaliation, counterattack, accusation, condemnation.
Antonyms: acquiescence, acceptance, avowal, assent.
Usage: But already the parties are preparing the ground for recriminations over the failure of the entire process.


8. DULY (adverb) विधिवत
Meaning: in accordance with what is required or appropriate; following proper procedure or arrangement.
Synonyms: fittingly, aptly, appropriately, suitably.
Antonyms: improperly, inappropriately, incongruously, incorrectly.
Usage:  I never trust a buyer until I have his contract in my hand, duly signed and witnessed.


9. JINGOISM (noun) अंधराष्ट्रीयता
Meaning: extreme patriotism, especially in the form of aggressive or warlike foreign policy.
Synonyms: chauvinism, patriotism, nationalism, nativism.
Antonyms: internationalism, anti-nationalism, treachery, unbias.
Usage: It could be construed as proof of the decline of society into simple jingoism.


10. BANE (noun) विपत्ति
Meaning: a cause of great distress or annoyance.
Synonyms: scourge, plague, ruination, destruction.
Antonyms: benefit, blessing, boon, felicity.
Usage: That evil is malevolent violence, a curse that is the bane of our human existence.
