ABSTEMIOUS (Adjective) : संयमी

Meaning: indulging only very moderately in something, especially food and drink.

Synonym: temperate, abstinent, austere, moderate.

Antonym: self-indulgent, intemperate, rapacious, voracious.

Example: Although my husband is normally abstemious with his money, he will buy a ticket to a football game in a minute.

ARDUOUS(Adjective) : कठिन

Meaning: demanding great effort or labor; difficult

Synonyms: exhausting, grueling

Antonyms: facile, easy

Example: Needless to say, mastering a foreign language is an arduous challenge.

BOLSTER (verb) : आधार

Meaning: support or strengthen.

Synonyms: strengthen, support, reinforce, boost

Antonyms: undermine

Example: In order to bolster its profits, the computer company is cutting its workforce.

COPIOUS (Adjective) : प्रचुर

Meaning: abundant in supply or quantity.

Synonym: abundant, ample, extensive

Antonym: lacking, meager, rare

Example: The storm produced a copious amount of rain.

DURESS (noun) : अवरोध

Meaning: threats, violence, constraints, or other action used to coerce someone into doing something against their will or better judgment.

Synonyms: coercion, compulsion, pressurization, enforcement.

Antonyms: agreement, approval, consent, persuasion.

Example: I think Harry was under duress when she signed the agreement; he never would have voluntarily accepted those conditions.

INCHOATE (Adjective) : प्राथमिक

Meaning: just begun and so not fully formed or developed; rudimentary.

Synonyms: budding, inceptive, incipient, nascent.

Antonyms: developed, full-fledged, evolved, ripened.

Example: If only you could come up with a complete plan and not just an inchoate idea

PIQUE (Noun) : मनमुटाव

Meaning:a feeling of anger, especially caused by someone damaging your feeling of being proud of yourself

Synonyms: annoyance, displeasure

Antonyms: delight, happiness

Example:He stormed from the room in a fit of pique, shouting that he had been misunderstood

RESCIND(Verb)  : रद्द कर देना

Meaning: to make a law, agreement, order, or decision no longer have any (legal) power

Synonyms: abolish, abrogate

Antonyms: allow, approve

Example: The policy of charging air travelers for vegetarian meals proved unpopular and has already been rescinded.

STODGY (Adjective) : उदासीन

Meaning: Dull and uninspired; lacking originality or excitement

Synonyms: uninteresting, dreary, uninspired, monotonous.

Antonyms: exciting, creative, breathtaking, enthralling.

Example: Most of my students used informal, asymmetrical balance, as formal balance can seem stodgy and dull
