1. Catastrophic (Adjective): आपत्तिजनक
Meaning: involving or causing sudden great damage or suffering.
Synonyms: calamitous, cataclysmic, disastrous, fatal, ruinous, tragic
Antonyms: fortunatebeneficial
Example: A Latvian farm worker driving in Scotland for the first time killed a Perthshire father in a “catastrophic” collision

2. Turgid (Adjective): सूजा हुआ
Meaning: Swollen
Synonyms: tumid, inflated, bombastic, tumescent , bloated
Antonyms: deflated, decreased, diminished, contracted, chapfallen
Example: The river rolled darkly brown and turgid.

3. Trepidation (Noun): घबराहट
Meaning: Nervous uncertainty of feeling.
Synonyms: perturbation, uneasiness, agitation, dismay, anxiety
Antonyms: calm, equanimity, contentment, assurance, peace
Example: I approached my office with a great deal of trepidation.

4. Diminution (NOUN) : कमी
Meaning: a reduction in the size, extent, or importance of something.
Synonyms: curtailment, curtailing, cutting back, cut back, cut, attenuation, reduction, lessening,
Antonym: accretion, accrual, accumulation, addition, supplement
Example: Led by P.V. Narasimha Rao, it steered the country away from a diminution of its political stature that was assured were it to renege on them.

5. NONPAREIL (adjective)  : अतुल
Meaning: having no match or equal; unrivalled.
Synonyms: incomparable, matchless, unrivalled, inimitable.
Antonyms: familiar, frequent, normal, ordinary.
Usage: The champions deserved the title because they were nonpareil all season and won every game.

6. Mundane (Adjective) : सांसारिक
Meaning:  Found in the ordinary course of events
Synonyms: dime, stale, sober, humdrum, day-to-day
Antonyms: unusual, Exciting, extraordinary.
Usage: The list included many mundane, routine tasks.

7. Quirk (Noun) : विशेषता
Meaning: a strange habit
Synonyms: irregularity, trait
Antonyms: normality,
Usage: His biggest quirk is his love for old marbles.

8. Swarthy (Adjective): साँवला
Meaning: dark-complexioned
Synonyms: raven, ebony, dusky, sable, brunet
Antonyms: blond, luminous, pallid, pasty, bright
Example: His complexion was swarthy, his hair dark, and his eye bright and piercing

9. CONDIGN (adjective) : उचित 
Meaning: appropriate to the crime or wrongdoing; fitting and deserved.
Synonyms: earned, merited, warranted, justified.
Antonyms: undeserved, undue, unfair, unjust.
Example: Condign punishment was rare when the criminal was a man of high social standing.

10. Credulous (Adjective) :  भरोसेमंद
Meaning: having or showing too great a readiness to believe things.
Synonym: gullible, naive, impressionable, trusting,
Antonym: worldly, suspicious
Example: When she was younger, my baby sister was incredibly credulous and fell for all my tricks.
