CANON (noun) : नियम
Meaning: a general law or criterion by which something is judged.
Synonyms: principle, rule, tenet, standard.
Antonyms: yang, yin, stand still
Usage: All they have is administrative fiat which fails any of the canons of the rule of law.

WOO (verb) : पीछा
Meaning: seek the favor, support, or custom of.
Synonyms: chase, pursue, ingratiate,
Antonyms: deter, affront, repulse, reject.
Usage: Political parties have roped in Bollywood stars only to woo the young.

TRAMMEL (Noun) : बाधा
Meaning: restrictions or impediments to freedom of action.
Synonyms: restraint, constraint, curb, check, impediment,
Antonyms: help, assistance
Usage: Protesters refused to let anyone trammel their first amendment rights and pushed for freedom and equality for all.

VENTUROUS(Adjective) : साहसी
Meaning: tending to take risks or daring experiences
Synonyms: adventurous, daring
Antonyms: bore, timid, cowardly
Usage: A venturous daredevil, Emily loved doing thrill-seeking activities on vacation including swimming with sharks.

STAID (ADJECTIVE) : शांत
Meaning: marked by settled sedateness and often prim self-restraint
Synonyms: dignified, composed, earnest, grave, humorless, no-nonsense
Antonyms: indecorous, frivolous, hilarious Example: She was given a staid title-‘The Iron Lady’.
Usage: Over the last few years he has taken the staid world of opera by storm.

SOJOURN (noun): विराम
Meaning: a temporary stay at one place, esp. while traveling.
Synonyms: stay, tarry, visit, stopover.
Antonyms: journey, migration, departure, advance.
Usage: During Dean’s sojourn in Paris, he spent two weeks visiting all of the city’s cultural attractions.

BRACE (verb) : सहारा देना
Meaning: prepare (someone) for something difficult or unpleasant.
Synonyms: nerve, gird, strengthen, fortify.
Antonyms: dampen, deaden, drain, debilitate.
Usage: Along with most of my neighbors in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, I was braced for the presidential transition.

DEBASE (Verb) : अवमूल्यन करना
Meaning: reduce (something) in quality or value; degrade.
Synonyms: degrade, demean, disgrace, undermine
Antonyms: enhance
Usage: The politician tried to debase his rival’s good reputation by spreading false rumors about him.

IMPLICITLY (adverb) : अप्रत्यक्ष
Meaning: in a way that is not directly expressed; tacitly.
Synonyms: absolutely, totally, utterly, unconditionally.
Antonyms: bluntly, explicitly, openly, clearly.
Usage: She implicitly suggested that he was responsible for the error.

DOWNRIGHT (adjective) : सर्वथा
Meaning: (of something bad or unpleasant) utter; complete (used for emphasis).
Synonyms: total, absolute, thorough, perfect, sheer.
Antonyms: inadequate, incomplete, insufficient, unfinished.
Usage: It was downright bad marking that allowed Dermot Shields head past Larkin from six yards for the lead goal.
