HOBBLE (verb) लंगड़ाना
Meaning: walk in an awkward way, typically because of pain from an injury.
Synonyms: totter, dodder, falter, lurch.
Antonyms: breeze, glide, sail, stride.

VEST (verb) निहित होना
Meaning: confer or bestow (power, authority, property, etc.) on someone.
Synonyms: entrust, invest, bestow, confer.
Antonyms: impede, inhibit, disqualify, disbar.
Usage: Extensive powers were vested into the hands of the President who headed the executive branch of government.

DRACONIAN (adjective) कठोर
Meaning: excessively harsh and severe.
Synonyms: cruel, brutal, oppressive, ruthless.
Antonyms: mild, amenable, temperate, gentle.
Usage: There was a time when I would have argued that our libel laws were Draconian and should be amended.

ATTRITION(Noun) संघर्षण
Meaning: the process of reducing something’s strength or effectiveness through sustained attack or pressure.
Synonyms: erosion, abrasion, attenuation
Antonyms: strengthening
Usage: As a result of teacher attrition, a lot of classrooms are overcrowded.

SHRILL (Adjective) अनिमेष
Meaning: (of a voice or sound) high-pitched and piercing.
Synonyms: high-pitched, piercing, high, sharp
Antonyms: low, soft, dulcet
Usage: When Rose was stabbed, she let out a shrill scream

 IMPASSE (Noun) गतिरोध
Meaning: a situation in which no progress is possible, especially because of disagreement; a deadlock.
Synonyms: deadlock, dead end, stalemate, checkmate, stand-off; standstill
Antonyms: solution, boon
Usage: Because of the impasse between workers and management, the factory has been closed for two weeks.

STENTORIAN (adjective)  बुलंद
Meaning: (of a person’s voice) loud and powerful.
Synonyms: booming, clangorous, piercing, roaring.
Antonyms: soothing, muffled, muted, softened.
Usage: When my father speaks in a stentorian voice, I know I’m in trouble.

SIEGE (Noun) घेराबंदी 
Meaning: a military operation in which enemy forces surround a town or building, cutting off essential supplies, with the aim of compelling those inside to surrender.
Synonyms: blockade, barricade, restriction
Antonyms: clearance, opening
Usage: During the siege of the village, the villagers were forced to give up their property.

PURLOIN (verb) चुराना
Meaning: steal (something).
Synonyms: loot, pilfer, steal, embezzle.
Antonyms: bestow, contribute, donate, purchase.
Usage: Sometimes it’s impossible to not purloin an excerpt from another person’s blog.
