5. Important Changes Regarding Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) and Tax Collected at Source (TCS)

• The Ministry of Finance has announced that the implementation of a new Tax Collected at Source (TCS) rule, which includes a higher rate of 20% on overseas remittances under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS), will be postponed by three months.

• The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposals of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for the appointments of these IPS officers in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Ajay Bhatnagar (IPS) has been appointed as Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Bhatnagar is a 1989-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Jharkhand cadre.
