i. The Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) hosted the National Entrepreneurship Awards 2017 marking the completion of three glorious years of its inception.

2. India Re-elected Member of UNESCO’s Executive Board
i. India has been re-elected as the member of the UNESCO’s executive board, its top decision-making body. The election was held at the 39th session of the General Conference of the UNESCO in Paris, France.
ii. The General Conference consists of the representatives of the States Members of the organisation. Each country has one vote, irrespective of its size or the extent of its contribution to the budget.

3. First Ever Nordic-Baltic Youth Film Festival in India
i. The Nordic-Baltic embassies will host the first ever youth film festival of the European nations in Delhi showcasing movies from the region.
ii. The 6-Day long festival will run in collaboration with the India Habitat Centre. The Nordic-Baltic countries Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden, or NB8 are tied together geographically and historically through trade, culture and many common value systems.

4. Delhi Govt Signs Twin City Agreement With Seoul
i. The Delhi government signed a twin city agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government for strengthening cooperation in the fields of e-governance, transportation, climate change and smart city.
ii. The agreement ‘Establishment of Friendship City Relationship’ was signed between Seoul (South Korea) Metropolitan Government led by Mayor Park Won Soon and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The agreement now needs the Union governments approval to come into effect.

5. Adani Power Inks Power Purchase Agreement with Bangladesh
i. Adani Power (Jharkhand) has inked long-term pact with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) to supply electricity from its upcoming 1,600 MW plant at Godda in Jharkhand.
ii. It has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for net capacity of 1,496 MW with BPDB for 25 years. The power supply under the PPA will be made from a new 1,600 MW (2×800 MW) ultra supercritical, coal based power plant to be set up by Adani Power (Jharkhand).

6. Priti Patel Quits UK Cabinet as International Development Secretary

7. Federal Bank Gets RBI Nod to Open Offices in Kuwait, Singapore
i. Federal Bank has obtained RBI approval to open representative offices at Kuwait and Singapore.
ii. The bank already has its representative offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and it has tied up with 110+ overseas banks/remittance partners.

8. Telangana Govt. Declares Urdu as Second Official Language

ii. The 36-year-old Swiss player takes his record tally to 36 awards since 2003. Federer has been selected by fans as ATPWorldTour.com Fans’ Favourite for a 15th straight year, and voted by fellow players as the winner of the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award and Comeback Player of the Year. This is the first time that he has won the Comeback Award.

10. Israel Honors Natalie Portman with ‘Jewish Nobel Prize’
