History of Grammy Awards
The history of Grammys awards, their origin started in the Hollywood Walk of Fame project in the 1950s.
The second Grammy Awards was held in 1959 and it was the first ceremony that was televised, but the ceremony was not aired live until the 13th Annual Grammy Awards in 1971.Through this ceremony, musical accomplishments by performers for the year 1958 was honored and given respect. Following the 2011 ceremony, the Academy overhauled many Grammy Award categories for 2012.
Grammy Awards are considered one of the four major annual American entertainment awards along with the Emmy Awards (television), Academy Awards (film) and the Tony Awards (theater and Broadway)
