History of the Constitution Day 2021
The first law minister of India, Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar drafted the committee in the year 1947 who took upon the responsibility of writing the Constitution for the country which was not typed but handwritten and calligraphed in Hindi and English.
The Union Ministry of social justice decided to note 26 November as the Constitution Day in 2015 to make the respective citizens aware of our constitutional values.
This day also acts as a tribute to Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar who played a major role in the formation of the aforementioned documentation from its roots.
Significance of the Constitution Day 2021
The day is observed to make citizens realize their role as a part of the country’s jurisdiction and the rights and values that come along with it. The event will begin at 11:00 am and will be led by President Kovind Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla.
Later that day our honorable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will set the two-day celebration in motion as told by the Supreme Court.
