Coal India MT Selection Process 2025
The selection process for the Management Trainee positions will be based on performance in the Computer Based Online Test. Candidates will be shortlisted purely on merit, and the final empanelment will be done in a 1:3 ratio. There is no interview or further selection stage, ensuring a transparent and straightforward recruitment process. Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly for the online test, as it is the sole criterion for selection.
CIL Management Trainee Exam Pattern
The Computer-Based Online Test will be conducted in a single sitting of 3 hours, comprising two papers (Paper-I & Paper-II) of 100 marks each. Paper-I will include General Knowledge/Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability and General English, while Paper-II will focus on Professional Knowledge related to the discipline. Each paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, with NO penalty for incorrect answers.

Coal India Management Trainee Salary 2025
Selected candidates will be placed as Management Trainees in E-2 Grade with a pay scale of ₹50,000 – 1,60,000/- during the training period, starting with basic pay of ₹50,000/- per month. Upon successful completion of the 1-year training and passing the evaluation test, candidates will be regularized in E-3 Grade with a pay scale of ₹60,000 – 1,80,000/-, starting at basic pay of ₹60,000/- per month with an additional 1-year probation period. Along with the basic pay, employees are entitled to benefits like Dearness Allowance, HRA, Performance Related Pay (PRP) and allowances under the Cafeteria Approach, as well as other perks such as Leave, Medical Facilities, CMPF, CMPS, Gratuity and the CIL Executive Defined Contribution Pension Scheme.
Coal India MT Application Fee 2025
The application fee is ₹1180/- for candidates belonging to the General (UR), EWS and OBC categories. Candidates from SC/ST, PwBD and departmental categories are exempted from paying the application fee. Payment must be made online through the designated payment portal.
