Celebrating Navratri with 9 Women Heros!! Lets Salute Manushi Chillar

This is the fourth day of this holy festival “Navratri” and we have started this Navratri special series where we will be bringing you with the stories of some powerful women who have taken the world by storm with their talent. In our Navratri special series, we will be saluting all those women who have paved the way for other women to pursue their dreams and to fear none. Today we present you none other than Manushi Chillar. Let’s take a look at her success story.

About Manushi Chillar

Manushi Chhillar was born on 14 May 1997 in Rohtak, Haryana. She was a brilliant student as she cleared AIPMT in her very first attempt and is pursuing a medical degree ( MBBS) at the Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College in Sonipat.

Manushi Chhillar’s started her pageantry journey with Fbb Campus Princess 2016, where she was one of the finalists from All India Institute of Medical Sciences in December 2016 conducted by Miss India Organization. After that, she participated and went on to win the title of fbb Femina Miss India Haryana in April 2017. Manushi Chhillar represented the state of Haryana in annually held Femina Miss India competition and was crowned Femina Miss India 2017 and this is where her Miss World journey began.

She was selected as Beauty with a Purpose winner at Miss World from India thus becoming the fourth Indian woman to be selected as Beauty with a purpose. She also registered her name in history by becoming the first Indian woman to win Miss World and Beauty with a Purpose jointly. She was crowned as the Miss World after stating that the job of a mother is the one that deserves the highest salary. After winning her Miss World title she was engaged with her Beauty with purpose project Shakti, which aims to spread awareness about menstrual hygiene. So far, she has visited 20 villages for the project and treated over 5,000 women.

We salute Manushi Chillar as she defines the meaning of the phrase “Beauty with brain”. She is young and passionate and comes from a state where women are consider as second class citizens. she has not only broke the shackles but had also come out a victorious paving way for other young girls from her state and around the world to follow their dreams.
