Bank of India SO Selection Process
The selection process for the Bank of India SO Recruitment 2025 consists of two stages. Depending on the number of applications received, BOI may decide to conduct only interviews without an online exam.

Online Examination (If Conducted)

Important Points:
The Professional Knowledge and General Awareness sections will be bilingual (English and Hindi). The English Language test is only qualifying, which means its marks will not be counted for merit ranking.
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
General/EWS Category: 35% in each section
SC/ST/OBC/PwD Candidates: 5% relaxation
Negative Marking:
0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Interview
Candidates who qualify for the online exam will be shortlisted for the interview based on merit. The interview will carry a total of 100 marks.
Minimum Qualifying Marks in Interview:
General/EWS Category: 50%
SC/ST/OBC/PwD Candidates: 45%
Shortlisting for Interviews:
Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio, meaning 3 candidates will be called for every 1 vacancy. The final selection will be based on merit ranking in the interview and online test. If two or more candidates score the same marks, the older candidate (by date of birth) will be given preference.
Final Selection Criteria
If Online Examination is Conducted:
The final selection will be based on a combination of Online Exam + Interview. The weightage will be 80% for the online exam and 20% for the interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in the Professional Knowledge and General Awareness sections (from the online exam) and the interview.
If Online Examination is NOT Conducted:
Selection will be based only on the interview. The merit list will be prepared in descending order of marks obtained in the interview.
