Probationary Officer in Bank

The recruitment program for PO – Prelims + Mains + Interview

Prelim exam pattern

  • The English language has 30 questions for 30 marks
  • The numerical ability has 35 questions for 35 marks
  • The reasoning ability has 35 questions for 35 marks

The candidate will answer for 100 marks in an hour

Main exam pattern

  • Reasoning and Computer Aptitude has 45 questions of 60 marks conducted for 60 minutes
  • Data analysis and interpretation has 35 questions of 60 marks held for 45 minutes
  • General Knowledge/Economy/Banking awareness has 40 questions of 40 marks  held for 35 minutes
  • The English language has 35 questions of 40 marks held for 40 minutes

The candidate will have to answer for 200 marks

A descriptive test of 30 minutes of the English language will get conducted for 50 marks, which would include letter writing and essay.

Finally, there is an interview with the group exercises that the candidate has to get through to secure the post.

RBI Grade B Officer

The duties of the officer would include will managing the team and operations of the department is posted. He/ she would be trained by the RBI directly so that they could become capable future leaders of RBI. They will be into banking regulation and supervision, Financial Inclusion, Forex management, Currency management, Debt management, and other tasks. You will also get the best pay in the banking sector, the grade B officer level. The salary for the financial year 2019, the gross monthly pay for a grade B officer would be Rs.77,208/-(it would vary according to the posting and deduction of tax, PF others). Grade B officer exams will have two-phase exams

  • Phase -1 will consist of online examination which is objective type
  • General awareness of 80 questions for 80 marks held for 25 minutes
  • The reasoning of 60 questions for 60 marks held for 45 minutes
  • English language of 30 questions for 30 marks held for 25 minutes
  • The quantitative aptitude of 30 questions of 30 marks held for 25 minutes

The candidate gets to answer a total of 200 marks objective type questions. A separate time will get allotted for each of the above tests. A total of minimum marks for each paper has to be secured by the candidate to pass the exam. 

  • Phase -2 will also be an online examination
  • Paper-1 is of economic and social issues, which also is an objective type for 100 marks held for 90 minutes.
  • Paper-2 is English writing skills wherein descriptive answers get written for 100 marks held for 90 minutes
  • Paper3 is finance and management is of objective type for 100 marks and held for 90 minutes

The candidate clearing all the phases will get shortlisted for the interview. The interview will consist of 50 marks, which can either be in Hindi or English.

IT Officers and Other Specialist Offers

IT officers are appointed to take of the data center and the core banking applications. They have maintained and support the data center 24/7 and prevent any malfunction or rectify it immediately. They would have to apply for the IBPS SO exam. The Gross Salary for Specialist Officer can range between Rs. 38000-39000 per month.
