These three categories of holidays can be explained as given below:
Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act- Banks observe holidays on those days that comes under this category as it simply means that if the maturity of an instrument is on the date of the holidays under negotiable instrument, the date preceding it will be considered the date of maturity in that case.
Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday- This simply refers to the days on which the service of RTGs is not available.
Banks’ Closing of Accounts- On, 1st April banks observe the Annual Bank’s closing of Accounts and hence banks observe holiday on this day.
