India has been acing the sports ground in the ongoing Asian Games 2023. Recently, Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Ojas Deotale won the gold medal on 4 October in the compound mixed team event in archery. This fantastic duo has defeated South Korea’s So Chaewon and Joo Jaehoon at the Fuyang Yinhu Sports Centre Field. This spell-bounding triumph of team India has made everyone believe in the mastermind proficiency of the country in Sports. The duo has made clear that India won its 71st medal, which has evolved to be historic and highest in the Asian games. To achieve the gold medal, Ojas and Jyothi had to go through an immense fight. After completing the End 1, India was leading the score table with 40-39. The graceful winning moment of India has led the scorecard in the second round as well, with 80-79. But, by the third end, India lost the leading position after Ojas shot 9 and the scorecard was 119-119. South Korea was able to hit 10s in the next two shots, but the effective grace of the Indian duo did not give any chance for the opponent team to come back.

Ojas and Jyothi have incorporated a great beginning by defeating the Malaysian duo of Bin Muzuki Mohd Juwaidi and Binti Mat Salleh Fatin Nurfatehah with a score of 158-155. After this, India showcased a tremendous performance in the semi-finals after conquering Andrey Tyutyun and Adel Zhexenbinova of Kazakhstan.

Jyotika Surekha Vennam and Ojas Pravin Deotale have grabbed the gold medal. On the other hand, the Bronze medal was conquered by Chinese Taipei who effectively defeated Kazakhstan by 157-154 in the event. Manju Rani and Ram Baboo have also showcased their prowess to help India be at the top as they got a bronze medal in the 35km race walk mixed team event.
