American Express ties up with Nasscom to empower women with digital skills: The Nasscom Foundation and American Express have teamed up to teach and upskill 700 women graduate through the “Women Empowerment Through Technology”, which is an employment-linked training project.
About the “Women Empowerment Through Technology” project
- The Women Empowerment Through Technology project aims to teach 700 women in a variety of technical fields, such as blockchain, machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence, and cloud and data analytics (AI).
- Under this project, American Express and Nasscom Foundation are collaborating with two training partners to provide women with technology-based skill development and entrepreneurial training: FUEL (Friends Union for Energizing Lives) and RCED (Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship).
- The registered beneficiaries will also receive non-technical training in subjects including communication skills, overall personality development, and interview techniques. The program’s female beneficiaries will get a professional certificate that has been validated along with job placements once they have successfully completed it.
- This collaboration of American Express with the Nasscom Foundation aims to empower women from underprivileged areas and communities and help them develop digital skills for better employment prospects.
