The first phase of the IBPS PO 2024 exam is prelims which serve as a screening round.

  • The Prelims stage of the IBPS PO consists of three sections and has a total duration of 1 hour.
  • A total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions in the Prelims exam for a maximum of 100 marks.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
  • Candidates must meet the minimum cut-off marks set by IBPS in all the tests to qualify.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2024

Candidates who qualify for the prelims round will become eligible to sit for the mains exam, which is the second phase of the IBPS PO 2024 selection process.

  • The IBPS PO Mains Exam consists of four sections, and an additional section for the English Language, which will be conducted separately on the same exam date.
  • In the Mains exam, the question paper will consist of both objective and subjective types valuing 200 marks and 25 marks respectively.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
  • Each section will have a designated time limit, similar to the IBPS PO Prelims Exam.
  • Candidates must pass each test/section individually to succeed in the IBPS PO Mains Exam.

Introduction of Descriptive Test: 25 Marks

In the IBPS PO Mains Exam, IBPS has introduced a descriptive test worth 25 marks. This test requires candidates to write an essay and a letter, carrying 25 marks. The English Language Paper is designed to evaluate candidates’ writing skills, and it is necessary to pass this paper by getting a minimum cut-off mark.

IBPS PO Interview Process 2024

The IBPS PO Interview does not have a specific topic to cover. However, it is recommended to concentrate on general knowledge, current affairs, and key finance-related subjects while preparing for the Probationary Officer Interview.

The interview carries a weightage of 100 marks, and a minimum score of 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) is required to qualify for this phase. The final result is determined by the marks obtained in both the Interview and Main exam, with a weightage ratio of 20:80 respectively.

IBPS PO 2024 Selection Process

The IBPS PO Exam is conducted in three different stages as mentioned below:

  1. IBPS PO Prelims Exam
  2. IBPS PO Mains Exam
  3. IBPS PO Interview

To be eligible for the interview stage, each candidate must achieve a minimum score in both the Prelims and Mains exams. The candidates who pass the main examination will be called for the interview round if they clear the IBPS PO Cut-Off for mains. It is to be noted that for the final selection, the marks in Interview and Mains are considered.

  1. The RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam consists of a total of 200 questions, with each question carrying one mark.
  2. The maximum mark possible in the exam is 200 Marks.
  3. Candidates are given a total of 120 minutes or 2 hours to complete the exam.
  4. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer marked by the candidate.
  5. The exam also has a sectional cut-off for each section of the exam, and candidates will have to clear both sectional cut-offs as well as the overall cut-off to qualify for the next stage.

RBI Grade B Interview Round

The RBI Grade B Interview Round is the final phase of the recruitment process. Following the online examination, candidates who qualify receive a separate Interview Call Letter on their registered Email ID. During the Interview, which carries a total of 75 marks, candidates have the flexibility to choose either Hindi or English as the language of their preference. This choice allows candidates to comfortably communicate and showcase their skills and knowledge relevant to the position.

Before the RBI Grade B Interview Round, candidates are required to undergo a Personality Assessment, which is conducted by the Reserve Bank of India. Unlike the Interview, this assessment does not contribute to the final selection criteria as no marks are allocated for it.

Overall, the Interview phase plays a crucial role in the selection process, where candidates are evaluated based on their performance in both the online examination and their interaction during the Interview session.

RBI Grade B Marking Scheme

In the RBI Grade B exam, for every incorrect answer in the multiple-choice questions, 1/4 of the marks for that question will be taken off as a penalty. This means you’ll lose a quarter of the points for each wrong answer.

If candidates plan to take the RBI Grade B 2024 exam, then they need to know the RBI Grade B Selection Process 2024. The exam has three stages: Phase 1, Phase 2 and an interview.

RBI Grade B 2024 Salary

After passing all stages for RBI Grade B Officer, candidates start with a basic salary of ₹55,200. They also get various allowances like Special Allowance, Grade Allowance, Dearness Allowance, and House Rent Allowance (HRA). Without HRA, the monthly salary is about ₹1,22,717. RBI Grade B 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

On the day of the RBI Grade B 2024 exam, follow these guidelines, candidates can download their admit card online which includes roll number, password, exam date, time, and center details. On exam day, arrive at the center one hour early. Candidates must bring their admit card with a recent passport-size photo attached. Aspirants need to carry a valid photo ID and a photocopy, such as a PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter’s Card, Bank Passbook, College/University ID, Aadhaar Card, E-Aadhaar Card, Employee ID or Bar Council ID. Ration cards and learner’s licenses are not accepted. During the exam, candidates cannot use calculators, books, notes, pagers or any electronic devices.
