Q1. Five years ago, the ratio between age of A and B was 5 : 7. Ten years hence from now, the ratio of their ages will be 3 : 4. Find the sum of present ages of both.
Q2. A sum is distributed among Sita, Gita and Rita in the ratio of 3 : 5 : 7. Gita invested her sum in a scheme at 10% per annum simple interest for four years. If Gita obtained total simple interest of Rs. 1680, then find total sum obtained by Sita and Rita.
Directions (3-5): In the following questions, two quantities are given (Quantity 1 & 2). You have to find the numerical value of both quantities and give answer (Compare only numerical value)
Q3. Quantity 1: The average speed (in kmph) for the entire journey. Darshan goes daring path with an average speed of 24 kmph and comes down with an average speed of 36 kmph. The distance travelled in both the cases is same.
Quantity 2: Father’s age (in years) after 10 years. The ratio of the age of a father to that of his son is 5: 2. If the product of their ages (in years) is 1000.
Q4. Quantity 2: The simple interest on a certain sum for 8 months at 4% per annum is Rs. 129 less than the simple interest on the same sum for 15 months at 5% per annum. The sum (in Rs) is:
Quantity 1: Quantity of fresh fruits (in kg). Fresh fruits contain 80% water, while dry fruits contain 10% water. The weight of dry fruits is 500 kg.
Q5. Quantity 1: No. of ways in which different signals can be generated if a signal requires the use of two flags, one below the other. A signal beam has 8 flags of different colors to generate a signal.
Quantity 2: Meena’s present age (in years). At present meena is eight times her daughter’s age. 8 years from now, the ratio of the age of Meena to her daughter will be 10 : 3.
Directions (6-10): Two equations (I) and (II) are given in each question. On the basis of these equations you have to decide the relation between ‘x’ and ‘y’ and give answer.

Q15. What is the ratio of total tea produced in 2009 to that in 2012 by all the three states together?
