Faculty of Education, University of Delhi has released a notification for 2 yr B.ed Programme.B.ed course will be going to offer in following institutions:

  • Department of Education (Central Institute of Education – CIE)
  • Lady Irwin College ( LIC)
  • Maharshi Valmiki College of Education (MVCE)
  • Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for women (SPMC)

Q.When will be the online registration started?
Ans.Registration Process:

  • Starting date of registration: 3rd June 2019
  • Last date of registration: 17th June 2019

Q. What is the educational qualification required for B.ed programme?
Ans. Minimum Qualifying Mark 

  • Category-I: Candidates with at least 50% marks in aggregate either in Bachelor’s Degree and / or in the Master’s Degree in Science / Social Science /Humanities/ Commerce or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the programme.
  • Category-II: Candidates with at least 55% marks in aggregate in Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology and specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the programme.

Eligibility for choosing Subject Category and Teaching Subject

The candidate will have to choose one subject category and only one teaching subject (within the subject category) which she/he must have studied in the qualifying degree i.e. Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree for at least 200 marks and obtained at least 50% marks in this subject. 
Q. What is the process of selection?
Ans. The process is given below:
(a) There will be one common entrance test for all the candidates
  • Entrance Test – 400 marks. 
  • Test duration-2 hours 
  • Total Question-100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 4 marks each. 
  • NEGATIVE MARKING- Yes (- 1 mark) 
  • Mode of Test- Online 
  • Medium- Hindi or English 
(b) On the basis of the performance in the entrance test, a merit list of all candidates, who take the test, will be displayed on the Website of the University/Department. Depending on the rank in the merit list of their respective category of the candidate, subject category, availability of seats and preference of the institutions, candidates will be allocated to different institutions.
Q. What is the Exam pattern?
Ans. There will be one common entrance test for all the candidates. 
Subjects:
  • Science, Social Science and Mathematics at school level (up to senior secondary / class 12), 
  • language comprehension in both English and Hindi, 
  • reasoning and general awareness on social, political and economic issues. 

Q.When will be the exam conducted?
Ans. The date of holding the entrance examination will be notified shortly. Tentatively, it will be scheduled on 1st week of July.
Q.Will the exam be conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?
Ans. The exam will be conducted in Online mode.
Q.What is the Application Fee?
Ans.
SC, ST, PwD and EWS : Rs. 300/- (per course) 
UR, OBC and other : Rs. 750/- (per course) 
Q. Is the exam Bilingual?
Ans. The Examination questions will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the Language papers which would be in the language concerned only.
Q. Is there a sectional cut-off in the exam?
Ans. No, there is a no sectional cut-off in the exam.
Q.Is there a criterion for negative marking?
Ans. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.
Q. What are the document required for admission?
Ans.Documents required for Admission :
  • High School/Secondary School Certificate for verification of date of birth. 
  • A detailed Statement of Marks of Part- I, II and III at Graduation. In case of Post-graduation being the eligibility, a Statement of Marks at Master’s level. 
  • Provisional certificate or degree of the qualifying examination. 
  • Relevant certificates/documents from a competent authority, establishing the candidate’s claim for reservation, for candidates belonging to reserved categories. 
  • Character Certificate from the institution last attended or from any gazetted officer (valid for six months from the date of issue). 
  • In the case of candidates in service, a No Objection Certificate from the employer and a letter of sanction of study leave for a period of two years.
