Railway Recruitment Board is going to conduct the RRB JE CBT Stage 1 for the posts of Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant scheduled to be held from 22nd May 2019. Aspirants are going to compete for 13,487 Vacancies in the various departments of railways. The exam is almost a week away and we hope that your preparation must have reached the final stage. But how to utilize remaining days to convert all of your hard work into a conducive result and to ascertain your success in the RRB JE 2019 exam.

  1. The first exam strategy towards any exam should be to get through with the exam pattern and syllabus. You must have an in-depth knowledge of the topics and chapters carrying heavy weightage in the exam. There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in CBTs. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories: UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%.

3. Time Management and Accuracy are the lifelines of competitive exams hence practice enough to sharpen your skills to deal with it. As the exam duration is 90 minutes, you need to divide your time according to your preference. Mathematics section is the most time consuming so make sure you give ample time to this section. Maintain the accuracy and don’t let your marks get affected by the negative marking.

4. As RRB JE First Stage CBT Exam is only qualifying in nature, your calculation for final selection changes automatically here. Remain farsighted to perform excellently in Second Stage CBT Exam but at the same time give your best to get at least the minimum percentage of marks to be qualified for RRB JE Second Stage CBT Exam. As the minimum percentage of marks for eligibility for various categories in RRB JE is UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%. Keep this in mind before appearing for the exam and perform justifiably. Avoid answering questions you have no idea about as negative marking of 1/3 can cost you heavily.

5. Mental strength is as important as your strenuous preparation. Sleep well, drink an adequate amount of water to keep your body at its best. Avoid anything and everything that distracts you, lower your confidence and besets your mental stability. Remain motivated, take a recess for 15-20 minutes while studying. Do exercise in the morning and develop an optimistic vision.
