A. The sum of temperatures of Monday and Tuesday is 61° C.
B. The sum of temperatures of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday is 122° C.
C. The temperature of Wednesday is 3° C more than that of Sunday.

A only
B only
A and C only
Either B alone or A and C together
None of these
Solution:

From A: Temp. on Sunday = 30 × 3 - 6 = 29°C.
From B: Temp. on Wed = 122 - 30 × 3 = 32°C.
From A & C: Temp. on Wed = 29 + 3 = 32°C
Hence, either B alone or A and C together can be dispensed with.

Only C
Only C and either A or B
Any two of them
Only either A or B
Solution:

6 M + 9W = 1/14 .... (i)
A: 80 M + 132 W = 84 M + 126 W [from (i)] B: 2M = 3W
C: 6 women can do the same work in 42 days.
So, by combining (i) with any of the three statements, we can find out the no. of days required to complete the same work by 12 men and 3 women. So, any two of them can be dispensed with.

Only B
A and B together
Either B alone or A and C together
None
A and C together
Solution:

A: 2(l + b) = 80
∴ l + b = 40
B: Area of the rectangle =750/2 = 375 m²
C : b = 15
