Prepare For Descriptive Writing Test Of SBI PO 2019 Exam |_2.1
The State Bank of India has released the official notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers already. Descriptive Writing is a part of  second phase of SBI PO 2019 Examination which is scheduled to be held on 20th of July 2019. The questions asked in the mains exam are difficult to deal with when compared to the prelims exam. When people prepare for their mains examination, they mostly focus on getting their grips stronger over the subjects that will be asked in the objective type test forgetting that the descriptive test is important too. If you do not qualify this test, you are more likely to lose the opportunity of  becoming a Probationary Officer in the public sector giant, the State Bank of India.
So students set aside the casual attitude towards the descriptive test and set about preparing for it now. To develop proficient writing skills, pick up a topic and try writing an essay and a letter on it every day. It not only helps you improve your writing skills for descriptive paper but also helps you discover new words or phrases you google search to express your knowledge with. Do not forget to read a newspaper on a daily basis. It not only helps you learn how to write effectively but also gets you aware of the top events that are in news. Another thing to be kept in mind while preparing for the descriptive test of SBI PO 2019 Examination is that you have to practice writing on a laptop to improve your typing speed.

Tips for Essay Writing:
  • Make points in your mind and elaborate it while typing.
  • The essay should be connected from top to bottom and the readers shouldn’t feel that you have left some points unexplained.
  • Start each paragraph with a topic sentence that clearly links the paragraph to the rest of the essay.
  • Provide supporting evidence for each point that you make.
  • Try to finish with an interesting or thought-provoking, but relevant, comment. It looks good and it shows that you are open for discussion which is a positive thing.
  • Avoid making spelling or grammatical mistakes. It leaves a very bad impression on the readers.
  • Write down quotations that may be particularly useful.
  • If possible, try to make multiple paragraphs based on the particular topic.
  • Do take care of the time management.
  • Last but not least, develop a reading habit for better vocabulary.

Tips for Informal  Letter Writing:

  • Date and Address: The writer should mention his/her own address in the letter they are writing. It should be written on the right-hand corner of the page. After the address, leave a line and write the date. The date shows when the letter was written.

  • Greetings or Salutation: The most common way to start off an informal letter is with a ‘dear’. Since this letter is meant for your friends or family, there is no need to greet them as ‘Sir’ or ‘Madam’. Put the name after that and then put a comma. e.g “Dear Shikha,”.
  • Text or Body: While writing the content of the letter, keep in mind the following:
  1. Paragraphs should be indented.
  2. Informal language should be used keeping in mind the person you are writing the letter to. You cannot write ‘Hey dude! What’s up?’ to your father.
  3. Active voice makes your letter sound more conversational and makes it more interesting to read, so, try using active voice.
  4. Try putting questions in your letter as they act as a good base on which you can write your letter.
