2. PM Modi Inaugurated World’s Largest Mobile Factory In Noida
i. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Moon Jae-in visited Noida and inaugurated the New Mobile Manufacturing Plant of Samsung at Noida. Notably, it will be one of the world’s largest mobile factory.
ii. With the beginning of this New Plant, India’s Make In India and Skill India Will get a major Push in the country. Samsung has Invested close to 5,000 Crore Rupees in this plant and aims to Manufacture 12 Crore Mobile Handsets annually which will result in massive job creation.

3. Government Sets Noise Standards For Airports Across India
i. The Union Environment Ministry has issued a notification setting noise standards for all airports across the country. The limits, however, exclude defence aircrafts, and those that are landing and taking off.
ii. The rules state that busy airports a civil airport with more than 50,000 aircraft movements per year (take-off or a landing) should not exceed noise levels beyond 75 dB(A) Leq (decibels) during the daytime (6am to 10pm) and 65 dBA during the night (10pm to 6am).
iii. All other airports an airport having more than 15,000 but less than 50,000 movements annually should not exceed levels beyond 65 dBA during the day and 60 dBA during the night. Proposed airports however, are excluded so far.

8. RBI Cancels Licence Of Alwar Urban Co-Operative Bank
i. The Reserve Bank of India has announced that the licence of Alwar Urban Co-operative Bank in Alwar, Rajasthan has been cancelled as it is not in a position to pay its depositors in full as and when their claims accrue, among other reasons.

12. India’s Dalabehera bags bronze in Junior World Weightlifting
i. Indian lifter Jhilli Dalabehera has bagged the bronze medal in the 2018 IWF Junior World Weightlifting Championships at Tashkent. She lifted 167 kg in the 48 kg category to finish third on the podium.
ii. According to Indian Weightlifting Federation Secretary General Sahdev Yadav, Jhilli is the second woman lifter after Saikhom Mirabai Chanu in 2013 to win a medal in the Junior World Championships.
