Vijay Diwas every year is marked and observed on 16th December to recall the victory of India over Pakistan. In 1971, India and Bangladesh defeated Pakistan in a war that also resulted in the unilateral and unconditional surrender of the Pakistan Army and subsequent secession of East Pakistan into Bangladesh. Vijay Diwas 2021
This will be the 50th Vijay Diwas observed on 16th December 2021. We marked this day as the victory of India over Pakistan. On this day, we pay homage to all the soldiers who had defended the nation in the war.
History of Vijay Diwas 2021
The war was begun on December 3 which was lasted for 13 days and ended on 16th December 1971. In addition to this, on this day, the chief of the Pakistani forces, General AA Khan Niazi, along with 93 thousand troops, had surrendered unconditionally to the allied forces consisting of the Indian Army and Mukti Bahini.
