Syllabus For IBPS 2018 Exams

Syllabus For IBPS 2018 Exams |_2.1

As IBPS does not release a syllabus for competitive examination, we can conjecture by the questions asked in the previous years that the syllabus is really vast and tough. It is geared towards testing an aspirant’s flexibility to solve complex questions. So, here is the syllabus being provided by Adda247 to get you acquainted with the pattern of examination.
Students, here we are providing you with all the topics that are asked in the different sections (subjects) along with the number of questions asked on them in IBPS Exams 2017 Prelims and Mains exam. The point to be noted here is that all the topics are equally important regardless of the number of questions asked on them in 2017 as we all know that the pattern of all the banking examinations has shown a drastic variation when compared to previous year’s examinations. The upward trend in the complexity of questions has only made the consistency of the examination pattern a question mark. So, prepare all the topics well. You can refer to the pattern asked in the previous years but cannot completely rely on it. Be ready for a bolt from the blue and prepare accordingly.

Reasoning Ability

Reasoning Ability is an onerous section. With the increasing complexity of questions, it becomes hard for one to give it the cold shoulder. Earlier students used to have a mindset of ignoring the complex puzzles, thereby solving the other questions that were comparatively easy. But to their dismay, this strategy won’t be working anymore as so many questions from the other topics like directions, etc. are being asked in the form of puzzles only. The only way to make the grade in this particular section in the forthcoming IBPS Exams is to practice continuously with all your heart and soul. Following is the syllabus of Reasoning Ability for IBPS 2018 Examinations:
  • Puzzles
  • Seating Arrangements
  • Direction Sense
  • Blood Relation
  • Syllogism

Quantitative Aptitude

This section has always been giving the aspirants heebie-jeebies when they appear for an examination. As the level of every other section is only getting complex and convoluted, there is no doubt that this section too will be making your blood run cold. As per the analysis of previous examinations, the questions asked in this section are calculative and very time-consuming. Data Interpretation and topics from arithmetic section make it hard for one to deal with the section as easily as any other section. So much is happening around the globe every day that unless you keep yourself abreast of these updates you cannot adjust yourself to deal with the GA section of any exam smoothly and easily. The questions asked in last year’s General Awareness Section were mainly based on Banking Awareness, Static Awareness, and Current Affairs. Unless one knows the historical background or the geographical location of the events reported, they will convey little of value of importance. In short, one must bring to the reading of newspapers an educated mind, an informed judgment, and an essentially critical understanding, if they are to serve any purpose in the forthcoming competitive examinations.
