IBPS Clerk 2019: Selection procedure

IBPS Clerk exam is carried on two phases as mentioned below:

• Preliminary Exam
• Mains exam

After successfully clearing both the phases, candidates will have to undergo a language proficiency test for the state they have applied from. The aspirant should be very familiar with the regional language of the state to qualify LPT. Your proficiency in writing, speaking, and reading the language will be tested.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2019: Preliminary Exam

There is sectional timing of 20 minutes for each section in the IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam 2019. The English language comprises of 30 questions with a total of 30 marks and rest of the two sections carries the highest weigthage of 35 marks each. The level of the preliminary exam is comparatively easy as that of mains. This may also result in high cut off. B) IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2019 :Mains Exam

The exam pattern for IBPS Clerk mains is different from that of IBPS Clerk prelims. General awareness is the add on the subject in this stage with a total of 50 questions carries 50 marks each. The main examination is also followed by the sectional timing for each section with a total of 160 minutes. Level of the exam can be considered from moderate to difficult. Candidates will have to qualify in both the stages and clear the minimum qualifying marks as decided by the IBPS for the provisional allotment.

• Marks obtained by the candidates in IBPS Clerk 2019 Main examination will be considered for shortlisting for the final merit list.
• There will be negative marking for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Examination for which there is a penalty of ¼ or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question.
