☛ When will be the exam conducted?
The Tentative dates for Preliminary Exams are 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th October 2017
The Tentative date for Mains Exam is 26th November 2017.
☛ Are there any changes in Exam Pattern?
Yes, this year IBPS has made changes in the Mains Exam Pattern. Now the structure is very similar to the mains pattern of SBI Exams. Reasoning and Computer sections are clubbed and there are changes in the name of subjects as well as number of questions and weightage of each section. Tentative Date for declaration of Results for Preliminary is expected to be announced in November 2017.
Tentative Date for declaration of Results for Mains is expected to be announced in December 2017.
Final results will be declared on April 2018.

☛Will the vacancies for IBPS PO 2017-18 Recruitment increase?
Yes, the vacancies are expected to increase and a few participating banks have not yet declared their vacancies for IBPS Recruitment. Aspirants can expect the number of vacancies to go up.

☛ Will there be any interview after the written result?
Yes, as per the notification the Interview will be conducted in January/February 2018. The weightage (ratio) of CWE (Main exam) and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
☛ Will the exam conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?
Common Written Exam for IBPS PO will be conducted online (Both Prelims and Mains).
☛ What is the age criteria to apply in this common written exam?
Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years
A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1997 (both dates inclusive)
☛ What is the educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. (As on 05.09.2017)
☛ I have given my final year graduation exams but the result has not been declared yet. Can I apply?
Those who are in the Final Year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 05.09.2017.
☛ What is the application Fee?
Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
Rs. 600 /- for all others
☛ When will the registration start?
Registration will start from 16th August 2017 and will end on 5th September 2017
☛ I have scored 55% in Graduation. Am I eligible to sit for the exam?
Yes, you can apply as there is no percentage criterion. You just need to be a graduate.
☛ I am 19 years old. Can I sit for the exam?
You must be at least 20 years of age and not more than 30 years of age as on as on 01.08.2017.
☛ How to calculate the Percentage?
The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.
☛ What is the Structure of the exam?

Descriptive Test:
English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) for 25 marks, time limit 30 minutes.
☛ Is the exam Bilingual?
The tests except for the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.
☛ What is the cut-off for being recruited?
There is no fixed cutoff for IBPS Probationary Officer. It depends on the performance of the candidates each year. Your final score is calculated based on your performance in the written test and the interview.
☛ Is there a sectional cut-off in the exam?
Yes, there is a sectional cut-off in the exam. You have to clear every section in order to secure a seat for the Interview.
☛ I have cleared the overall cutoff of the exam. However, I could not clear the cutoff for the general knowledge section. Am I still eligible?
Unfortunately, you are not eligible to move to the interview stage. You must clear the cutoff for each section individually and the overall cutoff as well.
☛ Is there a criterion for negative marking?
There is negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.
☛ What is the pattern of score in IBPS Probationary Officer Exam?
The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using the equipercentile method. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview.
