Q. How many vacancies are there?
Total Number of Vacancy: 325
- UR: 149
- OBC: 75
- SC: 38
- ST: 10
- Ex-Servicemen: 34
- Hearing Impairment: 08

Q. What is the Selection Procedure?
Selection will be made on the basis of Written Examination and Skill Test.
Q. Can a candidate apply for multiple posts?
Candidates may apply for multiple posts, subject to conditions. A candidate may apply for different posts under same/different zones, but cannot apply for same post in different zones.
For Ex : A candidate may apply for Post No. 1(Assistant) in Ahmedabad Zone, Post No 2 (UDC) under Dept. of Space and Post No.3 (Assistant) under Autonomous institute under Bengaluru Zone. However, he/she cannot apply for Post No. 1 (Assistant) in Ahmedabad Zone and again Post No. 1 (Assistant) under Thiruvananthapuram Zone. However, such candidates should select common (same) written test centre for all the posts applied for. Candidates have to make application fee payment separately for applications for different posts.
Q. Will the exam be conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?
Written Exam will be conducted in offline mode.
Q. What is the Structure of Examination?
Written Exam:
There will be 2 parts in which Part ‘A’ contains objective type questions and Part ‘B’ is descriptive in nature.

Some important points about exam:
- Each question carries 3 marks in Part ‘A’.
- There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer in part ‘A’.
- Part ‘B’ cantains 3 questions, each carries 10 marks.
- Time & Duration: 3 hours
- Minimum Marks: 50%

Skill Test (Computer Literacy Test):
- Skill test will be qualifying in nature.
- Skill Test will be purely go-no-go basis.
- The Skill Test shall be evaluated on a 100 points scale with minimum 60% for qualification.
- Minimum Qualifying marks: 60%
Q. What is the age criteria to apply in this common written exam?
Minimum Age: 18
Maximum Age:
For UR: 26 years
For SC/ST: 31 years
For OBC: 29 years
Age will be calculated as on 31.07.2017.
Q. What is the educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?
Graduation in Arts/Commerce/ Management/ Science/ Computer Applications with First Class, as declared by the University with Knowledge of Computers.
Note: BE/B.Tech graduates are not eligible to apply for the post of Assistant/Upper Division Clerk (administrative support staff).
Q. What is the application Fee?
There will be an Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) for each application. Candidates may make the payment ‘online’ using Internet Banking/Debit Card or ‘Offline’ by visiting nearest SBI Branch.
Note: All Women candidates/Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST); Ex-serviceman [EX] and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.
Q. Is there a criterion for negative marking?
There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer in Part ‘A’.
Q. What is the Pay Scale for Assistant & UDC?
Minimum basic pay of Rs.25,500/- p.m. In addition, House Rent Allowance [HRA] and Transport Allowance at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid for those who are not availing Departmental Housing and Transport facility, respectively. The employees will be governed by the National Pension Sytem.
Q. What is the Date of Written Examination?
The written test will be conducted on 15.10.2017 [Sunday] at nine venues viz., Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.
