Success Story: SBI PO 2016

Dear Readers,

Success Story – Shubham Tripathi – SBI PO 2016 – 1st PO exam in 1st attempt.

Hello every one , I am Shubham Tripathi from Shahdol District of Madhya Pradesh. I can not tell that what i have achieved is by struggle only somewhere i think i have been very lucky . I graduated in CSE branch from Hyderabad in 2015 and was already placed by the time I left the college as Software developer in NTT Data , But somewhere deep down i knew i do not want to work in software field as i was interested in Finance field.

I did not join the company and started preparing for MBA (CAT) and  it was the 1st time I thought of studying seriously but did not know how i am going to do it . So i stumbled and fell down b4 even starting and the section that let me down at the important junction of my life was English as I did not put enough effort. My MBA dream was effectively ruined so as the dream of becoming an economist . Then came the phase in December what we call it as a depression which lasted for about 20 days and in that phase the best thing that i did was searched all the alternatives to an average B school and then i found out that SBI will be hiring 2200 PO in 2016 . It meant a lot to me because a big bank is going to hire the freshers who in turn will be able to manage big things in life and it was in December I thought that i have to Crack SBI .In January i gave my 1st exam of SIDBI W/O any prep to see how paper comes and i was confident that i will be able to crack the exam but I was not that good in English and GA was like an impossible task.

In march i gave LIC and its GA section knocked me out of the competition but i learned something and that was GA of only 4 months and that of current and previous month was very important . So i devised my strategy and started my preparation seriously from March 2016 and come October i have been selected for SBI PO . in between i gave SBI CLERK 138 attempts . SBI PO :- 101 attempts .

My strategy :-

Maths :– Being a maths student i have always been good in maths but MOCK tests helped me to move forward and learn concept effectively and practise all the sections of maths in a single paper.

Reasoning : – Learn the concept and Give mock tests that is all you can do . 

English : – English is a language and try to learn it as a language . After encounter with CAT i became avid reader and started reading books , novel and news papers like a freak . READ that is the only way .

Things To remember :-  

1 – Know Your Cause because that will make your journey easier . 

2-  Sometimes it is good to listen to others 

3 – Do not try to reinvent the wheel . People have cracked the exam learn their strategy and follow the one which you think is best and you too will crack the exam .
